Pan-Fried Dumplings 

Step 1: Equipment & Ingredients

Equipment: A flat-bottomed pan (preferably non-stick)
Ingredients: Oil and water
Step 2: Preheat with Oil

Brush a thin, even layer of oil on the bottom of the pan.
Purpose: Brushing oil helps achieve a golden, crispy color on the dumplings. Without this step, they might turn out a bit darkish-yellow.
Step 3: Arrange the Dumplings

Place the dumplings in the pan with the side you want to be crispy facing down, ensuring they are in good contact with the pan surface.
Add water to the pan until it reaches about 60% of the dumplings’ height. This will create steam for cooking.
Step 4: Cooking with Steam

Turn on the heat and cover the pan with a lid.
Let the dumplings cook until approximately 90% of the water has evaporated.
Step 5: Enhance Crispiness (Optional)

If you prefer extra crispiness, you can gently flip the dumplings before serving. This allows both sides to get extra crispy.
Step 6: Final Drying and Garnish

Once the water is completely evaporated and only oil remains in the pan, the dumplings are ready to be removed.
For a better presentation, you can sprinkle a little black sesame seeds on top.
Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

Plate your delicious pan-fried dumplings and serve immediately. Enjoy your golden, crispy, and juicy dumplings!
